Our Story
The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry provides essential groceries and support to neighbors at risk of hunger through a collaboration of local churches and the broader community. The Pantry is dedicated to “making hunger history” for neighbors who live, work, or go to school in DuPage County. The Pantry was founded in 1979, has a Platinum rating on Candid (formerly GuideStar), and is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, 100 percent privately funded through grants and donations.

GLEN ELLYN FOOD PANTRY POLICY REGARDING REQUESTS FOR ENDORSEMENTS/PROMOTIONS JULY 2022
In order to adhere to its specific mission to provide essential groceries to neighbors in need and to retain its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry will not promote any political candidate, position or issue; nor provide any election information to its staff, clients, volunteers, donors, vendors, board members or to the public.
Additionally, other requests of the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry to endorse/promote any person, group, product, or issue must be approved by its Executive Board of Directors.
